Our Childcare Program

 The South Coast Baptist College School of Early Learning Childcare is part of South Coast Baptist College which offers Long Day Care (6 mths—5 yrs), Before and After School Care and Holiday Care.

Our centre recently won the state award for best childcare in WA in the 'National Australian Family Early Education and Care Awards' placing us in the top five childcare services in the nation. We also won the 'CCI Apprenticeship Solutions Outstanding Employer of School-based Apprentices and Trainees Award' 2013.

Unlike most other childcare centres, our service is not driven by profits. In fact, all the income generated is poured back into the centre, allowing us to provide your child with quality care and spacious, state of the art facilities.

We can guarantee that your child will be surrounded by nurturing, caring people who have a passion for the job. All our staff have been through a structured selection process to ensure only the best carers and educators receive a position at the centre. Staff undertake ongoing training in all areas, but in addition to this our staff need to be of excellent character and take the job seriously. Every staff person looking after your child has a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check Card and up to date First Aid training. There is a Diploma or Teacher Qualified staff person in every room, and each team includes experienced, mature staff who are onsite at all times.

We focus on high quality programming and require that all staff interact with the children in a meaningful and respectful way. Every day routines as well as learning through play are considered 'skilling' or learning opportunities for children. Staff are trained to pick up on these opportunities and give children the best education and nurturing environment that they can.

We also have an onsite Cook who provides quality nutritionally approved snacks and meals for your child, so you can be sure that your child's diet at daycare is healthy.
