Sunshine Coast Child Care lists Canberra Girls Grammar School OSHC in Deakin, who continued to provide excellent After School Care care, education and support for the children and their families of Deakin Australia.

The ELC follows the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) which caters for students from 3 to 12 years old. According to the International Baccalaureate mission statement, the PYP aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

The PYP provides a framework to ensure the holistic development of young children and incorporates emergent literacy, numeracy, physical, creative and cognitive development. A strong emphasis is placed on the social and emotional development of children through the School's sequential Pastoral Care Program.

Environment within and outside the ELC is very important. Great attention has been given to the look and feel of the classrooms and other spaces within the centre. Children are encouraged to interact with a variety of materials, textures and modes of expression – inside and outside – to provide a multi-sensory learning environment.
